SRA Standards and Regulations

The SRA Standards and Regulations are the principle compliance rules set out by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and applicable to legal practices.

Encompassing a range of provisions including the SRA Principles, the Codes of Conduct for solicitors and firms and the SRA Accounts Rules, the Standards and Regulations touch on all aspects of conduct and behaviour and cover a bewildering array of complex topics such as conflict, confidentiality and the management of client money and assets.

Our consultants can help you not only to identify the specific rules applicable to complex matters, but to understand how those rules should be applied to real situations at a time when the regulator is moving away from clear, prescriptive rules and towards broader regulatory principles which may be applied differently in different situations.
